Rutherford's atomic theory

Rutherford's atomic theory
core
a. All the positive charge and most of the atomic masses gathered at a point in the middle of the atom, called the atomic nucleus
b. Atomic nucleus surrounded by electrons at a relatively far distance
c. Atom is electrically neutral because the charge on the nucleus (positive) equal to the charge of electrons that surround it.

weakness
- Can not explain the stability of the atom
- Can not explain the line spectrum of hydrogen atom.
