Light entering the eye is refracted and focused by the crystalline lens on the back surface of the eye, inverted and smaller than the object. Thickness of the lens can be changed by the contraction of the muscles and casually siliar that holds the lens. Thickness of the lens is changed so that the lens can focus objects at different distances. To see close objects, siliar muscle contraction becomes convex lens. The ability of joint action is more convex lens in order to focus objects near and far is called the power of accommodation.
