air pollution

air pollution
Air pollution (pollution) is the mixing of foreign substances with clean air or air component concentration increased above the normal price. Substances that cause air pollution are referred to as pollutants. Air layer called the troposphere (10-18 km thick).

Air pollution may be indicated by:
A. Contaminated by foreign substances
1. carbon compounds
Sources: Most of the motor vehicle. Hydrocarbon materials derived from petroleum, and not everything is on fire but partially split into lighter hydrocarbons, such as CH4, C2H8, C2H2, and so forth. Another source can be derived from the refining industry, power generation and others.

2. organic compounds
For example: oxides of sulfur compounds and others. Particulate-particulate metals other harmful for health, such as Pb (lead), Cd (cadmium), Hg (mercury), Ni (nickel).

B. Increasing the concentration of one component of air
- Carbon monoxide (CO)
- Sulfur oxides (SO2)
- Hydrocarbons (CxHyOz)
- Nitrogen oxides (NO2)
- Carbon dioxide (CO2).
