Development of traditional music in Indonesia

In Indonesia there are 3 types of art, namely:

a. traditional arts

Art is derived and grown on an area and characterizes the area. Typically there is a rule or standard are not to be violated, there is no creator. Example: gamelan music (sekaten).

b. Non-national art

is the art which is not native of the area. Example: Campur sari.

c. national art

Is the art of using the Indonesian language and use the tools of diatonic music, not the original art of the area. But loved by all layers.
